IN THE NEXT ROOM (OR THE VIBRATOR PLAY)
Below you will find the pictorial research that drove the show, as well as the documents used to organize my ideas and convey information.
The overall inspirational research I put into the piece. A major motif carried out was the idea of “incomplete” people, which is why the pictures showcased are all incomplete in some way.

Of the incomplete paintings, The Madonna and Child with St John and Angels by Michelangelo stood out as the most emotionally resonant. Sometimes the incompletions are massive and other times they are minor little parts here and there, but in the end the painting and its figures are all beautiful.
The scene chart I used to organize ideas and keep track of technical requirements.
The ground plan I developed for the show.
An isometric drawing I drafted detailing the dimensions of one of the cut-away walls.
A cardboard model I used to work through the specifics of spatial arrangements with my director (eco-friendly, of course).
