The overall inspirational research I put into the piece. Finding the right quality of the sunrises and sunset in the show was key, so a lot of research went into finding a variety of shades of sunlight. Also finding the right moments in the show to highlight the sunrise/set was pivotal to the research.

To communicate visual ideas, I played around with an alternate form of color research. In this instance, I did not photoshop actors into a space and accent them with colors, I chose images from online and picked out the colors in them that I saw fit in each scene.
Cue sheet for the show; stuck to my older form because the show’s low scene count made Nick Ligon’s cue sheet form feel a bit excessive for this show.
The light plot I developed for the show. Picnic’s tech process overlapped with another show, so attention had to be paid to fixture designation between the two shows. That meant, in this specific case, that no moving head fixtures were used; the only intelligent fixtures present were a few LED’s.
