I’m studying color theory (specifically in its relation to skin tone) because I want to know how to light diverse skin tones in order to find out how to make a diverse cast all look their best on stage. With that goal in mind, I photographed individuals under stage lights using a variety of gels, and here I reflect on which sets or which sets in combination help individuals and groups of individuals look the best.
