IN THE NEXT ROOM (OR THE VIBRATOR PLAY)
Below you will find the pictorial research that drove the show, as well as the documents used to organize my ideas and convey information.
The overall inspirational research I put into the piece. We really focused as a team on how to portray this presentational story on stage, and how to make it an expressive experience. I drew most of my inspiration from German Expressionism (featured in some pictures at the top), and found that the stylings helped put the audience is a self aware and reflective state.

Outside of researching the style for the show, time was devoted to recreating architecture from the Notre Dame itself. I used a pinterest board in this case to collect a variety of architecture examples to reference throughout the design process.

The scenic cue sheet I used to track flight cues during tech.
Ground Plan for the show, detailing downstage platforming as well as step heights.
Another example elevation from the show, this time detailing the railing.
An elevation from my paperwork. This particular document details a section of platforming, stairs, a ladder, and the doorway.
The to-scale rendering I created to present my ideas to my design team and to the technical director and charge artists.
