I was on the lighting design team for this production in November of 2018. Below are some production photos from the show. The photos featured are from songs I programmed.

My third and final time through Red Curtain at CWU was the most challenging and the most rewarding. The challenges I was up against included an increase in work-load (I took on a dozen numbers whereas other years I had six at the most), and I was designing another show that same quarter. These two challenges worked in tandem, with the end result being just a general lack of time that I was used to in previous Red Curtains. A lack of time caused my research processes and discussions with directors to be more condensed than before, but to my delight my personal success of the show was that despite less than ideal time conditions the end product was solid, engaging, and narratively relevant. The pieces I programmed felt like the best pieces I had put together in my time doing the revue, and I was able to refine a number of them throughout the process (some numbers looked drastically different day to day), which was my largest struggle walking away from the last Red Curtain. So not only did I work through a tight schedule, but I also managed to produce my best work and addressed my weakness from last revue, so I would consider it a grand success.
