RED CURTAIN BROADWAY REVUE 2017

I was on the lighting design team for this Red Curtain Broadway Revue at Central Washington University in November of 2017. Below are some production photos from the show. The photos featured are from songs I programmed.

My second time through the Red Curtain process was more of a success for me. I took on more numbers this time around, which allowed for a more diverse palette. I produced more dense and visually interesting design aesthetics for each number than my first time around, and I kept up a quality process (thorough research, communication with director, etc.). The challenges I faced amidst this production largely related to my ability to work through the first level of design ideas to create truly impactful lighting designs. As I said I had quality research going into each piece, and had an idea in my head of what each piece would ideally look like, but struggled during programming time to work the pieces past what I initially programmed. I believe my pieces still hold up, but they were not as narratively impactful as they could have been.
